What does IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) include?
ITAD typically includes pickup/removal planning, secure handling, intake documentation, data sanitization or destruction (when required), and final disposition reporting (reuse vs. recycling vs. destruction) with certificates as scoped. We also offer access to the CAS Client Portal, a dashboard that centralizes all documentation, chain of custody trails, reporting and certificates. The portal also enables IT Asset & equipment lifecycle management, standardization across multiple (or many) locations streamlined data security workflows, risk classification, and efficient asset identifier intake and upload to the client dashboard.
Do you handle surplus electronics pickups and e-waste removal as part of ITAD?
Yes. Many ITAD projects include mixed loads of IT equipment, peripherals, cables, and surplus electronics. We scope secure handling, sorting, disposition routing, and documentation, then report final outcomes based on your requirements.
Do you provide chain of custody documentation?
Yes. We document custody from pickup through processing and provide reporting that supports internal governance, which can all be tracked in the CAS Client Portal. All documents and formalized reporting uploaded for clients in the portal can be exported and saved internally, or delivered and formally reported in other ways.
Can you provide per-asset reporting for large batches?
Yes. Even for larger volumes, serial number asset tracking and reporting is avaliable. We also offer individual asset / storage media reporting along with batch reporting format for Certificates of Media Sanitization and Certificates of Data Destruction for large storage device batches.
Do you offer only media sanitization and data destruction project support?
Yes. We can scope Media Sanitization Services for device types and storage media to NIST 800-88 Clear, Purge, Destroy Method or by organization required disposition and destruction path. We can also scope for Data Destruction services that route devices that qualify for reuse, contingent upon secure and successful removal of storage media, which can be routed to physical destruction, or can be routed to a different media sanitization method, and returned to your organization for internal reuse.
What sustainability documentation is available for ITAD outcomes?
We provide final disposition reporting (reuse vs recycle vs destroy), landfill diversion documentation, certificates of recycling in the Client Portal for ITAD Programs. We can also scope sustainability tracking and reporting into the client portal as well. We have tier 1 and tier 2 sustainability tracking and reporting levels that can fits right into ITAD Program workflows and final disposition reporting depending on your sustainability program goals and stakeholder needs.
