About our E-Waste Recycling Services
CAS provides a free e-waste pickup and recycling service for business & organizations with unwanted e-waste, decomissioned IT equipment and unused electronic devices. We provide a sustainable disposition solution for your surplus equipment that includes a sustainability scorecard showing recircular vs recycled outcomes of all equipment for each pickup.
Free Pickup and Recycling: Even If Equipment Is Outdated, Broken, or Damaged
Regardless if some or all equipment is obsolete, non-functional, or already damaged, CAS will still pick up all equipment you need removed and will dispose responsibly through appropriate wastestreams at no charge. This includes old devices, legacy equipment, mixed pallets, and miscellaneous electronic peripherals and cables that can be difficult to sort internally.
What We Accept for Free Pickup
- Data storage devices: that are already sanitized, destroyed, broken, crushed, or degaussed
- Computers & endpoints: laptops, desktop computers, and related accessories
- Mobile devices: cell phones, tablets, and handheld electronics
- Legacy infrastructure: servers and networking equipment
- Display equipment: CRT and LCD monitors, LCD and plasma TVs, projection equipment
- Office & facility electronics: printers and scanners, battery backup equipment, UPS units, power docks
- Consumables & peripherals: printer ink / toner, used or new peripherals, loose cabling and accessories
- Other: mixed electronic devices, circuit boards, loose cabling and other accepted e-waste categories
- See our Accepted Items
Our E-Waste Recycling Process
- Equipment collection: coordinated pickup and staged handling aligned to your site needs
- Intake Documentation: We intake and document all equipment picked up by quantity and serial number. We measure the net weight of raw material picked up and send an Intake List back to your organization.
- Data handling: sanitization and destruction options available when needed for data-bearing devices discovered
- Parts harvesting: component recovery to increase circularity outcomes
- Responsible recycling: downstream processing through appropriate materials recovery pathways
- Final reporting: disposition reporting with weight totals by category and material
- Full chain of custody: documented control from pickup to final disposition
Compliance Support
- State e-waste regulations and disposal requirements
- Corporate sustainability initiatives and ESG documentation needs
- Customer and stakeholder expectations for responsible electronics recycling
- Environmental best practices for downstream routing and disposition
Sustainability Reporting and ESG Support
Electronic recycling is a major driver of landfill diversion and sustainability performance. CAS can provide a sustainability scorecard for each pickup and reporting options for organizations that need stronger documentation for internal stakeholders.
- Pickup-level reporting that supports landfill diversion and materials recovery documentation
- Net Weight tracking by EPA category documentation in final disposition reporting for each pickup separated by waste treatment (recycling & materials recovery) vs circular (reuse) outcome
- Reuse and redeploy outcomes are be tracked separately to avoid double counting waste treatment totals

FAQ
Is e-waste pickup really free, even for broken or obsolete equipment?
Yes e-waste pickup is free within our service area, CAS provides free pickup for accepted e-waste and electronic equipment categories including outdated, damaged, or non-functional electronics. (See Accepted Items). Just attatch some pictures of the equipment you're looking to get picked up when you go to schedule a pickup. Schedule a Pickup here.
Do you provide documentation for Reuse vs Recycling outcomes?
Yes. CAS documents outcomes so your team can distinguish between circular outcomes (reuse, redeploy, parts harvesting) and recycling & material recovery pathways, supporting internal reporting and full transparency.
Can you handle data-bearing devices during an e-waste recycling project?
Yes. If equipment contains storage components already wiped or sanitized we will still pick these items up. If your know some equipment may contain sensitive data, we can scope sanitization or data destruction workflows for data-bearing equipment your organization needs secured. See Media Sanitization Services. or Data Destruction Services.
What does “parts harvesting” mean in practice?
Parts harvesting is the recovery of usable components from equipment that is not suitable for full reuse. It supports circularity by extending the life of working parts and components, that can be reused on their own or used to repair another device later. Therefore improving diversion outcomes before the equipment enters the waste stream for materials recovery.
Do you support Scope 3 reporting for e-waste and electronics?
We can provide structured activity data by category and weight, along with documentation that supports sustainability stakeholder needs. If you need a deeper reporting package, see our Scope 3 Emissions Reporting service.
Do you have a landfill option?
CAS is built around landfill diversion and responsible recycling pathways. The landfill is not a planned disposition pathway in our standard approach; if a client requires a special routing instruction, we confirm it explicitly during scoping and document it.
